New Judges Orientation for Accountability Courts
The Council of Accountability Court Judges New Judges Orientation is an annual training designed for new accountability court judges.
The next training is scheduled for August 11-12, 2025
The training is open to Judges (new and back-up) who will be presiding over an accountability court under the purview of the CACJ.
Registration will open November 2024.
The CACJ Rules, effective 7/1/20, require that all new judges attend the next available new judge orientation. CACJ Rules, Article 10, Section II(C).
- Registration will open in November 2024.
- Registration ends August 1, 2024.
- This course is scheduled to occur as an in-person event, location is Athens, GA.
- Please email the contact listed below if there are immediate questions about the event. location, or registration eligibility.
- Registration is open to adult felony drug court, mental health court, veterans treatment court, family treatment court, DUI courts, and juvenile drug/mental health court judges.
- Training is available for new and back up accountability court judges.
- CACJ staff will work with ICJE to approve CLE hours for registered attendees. If the Judge has attended a prior CACJ new accountability court judge orientation, they are not required to attend again.
