Accountability Court Practitioner Training for New Attorneys
This training is limited to attorneys actively serving in a state-funded or state-certified accountability court program.
CLE has been applied for.
- Registration is limited to 40 attendees.
- In-person attendance is required.
- The meeting location is Athens, GA.
- Hotel accommodations and travel reimbursement are provided to eligible attendees.
This training is designed for attorneys who are new to accountability court practice (less than five years’ experience) and will offer foundational knowledge, practical skills, and a strong understanding of the treatment court model. Speakers will include accountability court judges and experienced attorneys and will cover Georgia-specific core accountability court legal issues such as due process, sanctions, treatment, a case law overview, and ethics and professionalism. Attorneys from all accountability court types are welcome, but the training will focus on criminal court procedure in superior and state court.
The CACJ Training Acknowledgement and Agreement (TAA) is required and must be signed by all parties to complete registration.
