More than GED: Unpacking Georgia’s High School Equivalency and Diploma Options Webinar

During this webinar, the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) will share information about the state’s expanded options for individuals to earn a high school equivalency or diploma. Specifically, TCSG will highlight its two high school diploma programs—Career Plus (CPH) and Dual Achievement (DAP)—which allow students to earn a high school diploma and college credentials simultaneously. In addition, TCSG will discuss how accountability courts can connect individuals with high school equivalency or diploma programs in their communities and how students can take advantage of the HOPE High School Equivalency Grant to cover the cost of the GED or HiSET exam.
Objectives
- Participants will learn about Georgia’s multiple pathways for individuals to earn a high school equivalency or diploma, including the GED exam, the HiSET exam, the Career Plus High School Diploma Program, and the Dual Achievement Program.
- Participants will learn how to connect accountability court participants with high school equivalency and diploma programs in Georgia
- Participants will learn about the HOPE High School Equivalency Grant, which can cover the cost of GED or HiSET exams for eligible Georgians.
