On the Road Again A Practical Guide to Driver’s License Reinstatement in Accountability Courts Part II
This webinar will help Georgia Accountability courts set their participants up for long-term success by getting them safely and legally back on the road.
Intended Audience: Coordinators and all team members in AFDCs, MHCs, VTCs, and DUI Courts.
To attend register using the link below.
Registered attendees will receive a calendar invitation with a Zoom meeting link and a reminder email the day of the session.
This follow‑up webinar will focus on common challenges courts face as participants work to obtain or reinstate their driver’s licenses. DDS will provide clarifications on key issues such as record gaps during transfers, correct permit issuance, revoked versus suspended licenses, hardship waivers, and requirements for reinstatement. DDS will also give advice on how to make sure your participants can protect themselves throughout this process. The session will also highlight resources for identifying DBHDD‑approved assessors and understanding assessment requirements.
We will share lived experiences from courts and give practical solutions and successful approaches to improving communication, reducing delays, and helping participants better understand what they must complete to regain driving privileges. Please note that this statute only applies to AFDCS, MHCs, VTCs, and DUI Courts. FTC and JTC team members are welcome to attend but should be aware that not all the information will be applicable to those court types.
