Accountability Court Practitioner Training for Attorneys
This training is appropriate for attorneys serving in all accountability court types, but will focus on criminal procedure. This training is limited to attorneys actively serving in a state-funded or state-certified accountability court program.
- Registration is limited to 40 attendees.
- In-person attendance is required.
- The meeting location is Athens, GA.
- Hotel accommodations and travel reimbursement are provided to eligible attendees.
Speakers will include accountability court judges and experienced practitioners who will offer legal content alongside skill-building activities. This training will provide a refresher of basic accountability court legal issues as well as delving into more advanced and nuanced legal topics. Due process, sanctions, judicial conduct, and attorney ethics and professionalism will be covered. Sessions will also feature need-to-know information about important accountability court components such as treatment, drug testing, and data collection.
The CACJ Training Acknowledgement and Agreement (TAA) is required and must be signed by all parties to complete registration.
